So I want to share a funny story that one of my friends emailed me the other day. She had seen the pictures I posted from Polar Express on Facebook and showed them to a couple of her fourth graders in class. Here is what she told me they said.
“I was telling one of my fourth graders about the Polar Express thing you went on and he said “do you think it was the real Santa Claus Mrs. Aiello? Or was it his elf? Because you know he can’t go everywhere so he sends his elves dressed up. The only real Santa is at the parade in New York because it’s closest to the North Pole.”
“
haha kids are so funny! The ideas and creativity are definitly something I think adults should incorporate into their life. Here is one more story she sent me.
“A boy walks up to me at the end of the day and says “…I had a really hard night last night. Do you want to know why? My mom told me Santa doesn’t exist.” At this point I’m trying to get him to stop, as there are other kids around, so I said “Oh, I’m sorry to hear that, but we have to keep it quiet!” and he replies, “But you know what I think? I think Santa does exist. He doesn’t have time to make toys for the millions of kids everywhere. So he doesn’t make them for kids like me who have money to buy them. He just makes them for kids who don’t have money or parents and then delivers them to the orphanages and shelters.”
“
Haha how awesome is that?! I think my friend should write a book or something of all the cool things she hears.
Here is a picture just to add to this goodness.
